Getting to Launch

Cliff Ridge Launch from the Town of Dinosaur (29.4 miles from US 40):
1 ½ miles east of town of Dinosaur, turn north off US 40 onto the Monument Road (40 14’ 34.75” N 108 58’ 25.78” W);
Proceed 21.9 miles on the pavement, then turn left, south, on Uintah County 1550 “Blue Mountain Road” (40 26 20.99 N 109 03’41.03) ;
Proceed 6.2 miles on the good gravel road, then stay left onto Uintah County 1565, “Hanglider (sic) Launch” road, continue 1.3 miles to launch ( 40°22’15.45″N 109° 5’10.29″W)

Cliff Ridge Launch from Town via the Snake Pit and Corrals Landing Areas:
Dinosaur to Snake Pit: Head west 6.5 miles on US 40; turn right toward Blue Mountain Rd; .9 miles turn right onto Blue Mountain Road; after approximately 4 miles (40°20’34.94″N 109° 6’6.84″W ) turn left onto a smaller dirt road and go approximately 300 yards – you are there ( 40°20’41.24″N 109° 6’2.72″W). About ½ mile short of the turn onto the smaller dirt road, you will have passed the better looking Corrals Landing area (40°20’8.68″N 109° 6’30.68″W).

Snake Pit to Launch:
Continue in a northerly direction on Blue Mountain Rd until reaching the paved Monument Road (40°21’44.83″N 108°59’0.00″W); turn left, go 10.2 miles then turn left, south, (40 26 20.99 N 109 03’41.03) on Uintah County 1550 “Blue Mountain Road”;
Proceed 6.2 miles on the good gravel road, then stay left onto Uintah County 1565, “Hanglider Launch” road, continue 1.3 miles to launch ( 40°22’15.45″N 109° 5’10.29″W)
